Chapter 35 Bullying
The endless nightmares repeated every day and every night.
She would be standing on the edge of a cliff when she suddenly plunged into the abyss! ...Jane jolted awake.
It was not because she fell off a cliff, but because the door behind her was opened from inside.
“Are you nuts? Why would you sleep at the door and not in your bed?”
Susie had ignored Jane every time they met after that earlier incident, acting all cold and aloof. Although she looked down on Jane, she did not talk to Jane either, as though merely talking to her was beneath Susie.
This morning, however, at the dorm the two of them shared, Susie actually talked to Jane for once, acting like it was such an act of mercy.
Still… She was not saying anything particularly nice. It might have been better if she did not say anything at all.
“The door was locked from the inside last night.”
Jane spoke mildly. There were some things best left unsaid.
She did not hope for an apology. She just wanted Susie to stop at that.
