AURORA. After leaving the office, Nathaniel took me to a luxurious restaurant where we waited for the client. The dimly lit interior and the soft murmur of other diners created an intimate atmosphere that I hadn't anticipated. The entire fiasco with Winter still left me dazed and as I stared at Nathaniel’s calm expression from the corner of my eye as his eyes scanned through the menu, it was hard to believe that he had been angry such a short while ago. Had I imagined it? His face when he’d seen Winter and I talking earlier had been nothing short of vexed, I was sure of it. But looking at him now, I was beginning to doubt myself.
