CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN THE BIDDING

Bella raised an eyebrow. “And which fool told you that?” she asked her best friend. Kate shrugged. “Do I need to be told? Anyone with two eyes can see that,” Kate replied. Bella rolled her eyes. “I didn't see anything like that. The only thing I saw was that you had too much drink.” Kate sighed. She didn't speak again. A taxi had pulled up anyway, so she had to wait till they got inside if she wanted to speak. When they got inside, Kate rested her head on Bella's shoulders. Bella frowned.
