CHAPTER TWELVE HUGS AND SPARKS
It was getting dark and the setting sun painted the sky orangish red. Under the beautiful glow, Bella's hair fluttered gently in the wind as she bent to tend to a kid that had just pulled on her dress.
A short time later, the kid walked away, a happy expression on his face.
To Kennedy, she seemed like an ethereal fairy that's mistakenly found her way into the mortal world in that instant.
“Mr McKenzie? Is anything the matter?” the old man asked when he realized Kennedy wasn't even listening at him. He had been asking him when they would able to complete the paperwork of the transfer of the title deed so the orphanage would officially own the apartment complex.
