“Good evening, Barlow,” Kate greeted back. “Excuse me, I’ll go wash my hands first.” Barlow continued to smile. When he entered the restroom, Bella shot a glance at Kate. Kate leaned in and nudged her arm. “Bella, isn’t he interested in you? You could be a little accommodating for your friend’s sake.“ Bella withdrew her hand and laughed. “So, you’ve tricked me?” “Hey, I know you always have my back.” Wearing an ingratiating smile, Kate moved closer and gave Bella a kiss on the cheek. “Come on, don’t be upset.” “Go away. Alright, here’s another kiss for you.” “Go away.” “Nope.” Barlow came out of the restroom to find them teasing each other and chuckled. “You two should be careful. People who don’t know you might think you’re a couple of lesbians.” Kate clung to Bella’s arm, seemingly taking pride in the situation. “You couldn’t possibly comprehend the bond between Bella and me.” Barlo
