Chapter 11

Aadhira came out of the car as she saw Arnav come out as well. And, as soon as she stepped on the brick pavement, he was already in front of her. It must not have intrigued her, but she still praised his supernatural capabilities. Of course, she didn't tell him so. She didn't want to boost his ego anymore. "Mate, next time, don't come out until I open the door for you. Okay?" He ordered in a sweet manner, which almost made it appear as if he was suggesting! "Ok! Sorry." She murmured sadly. She could clearly feel his dominant nature appear with the flow of time. Almost every minute, he had something to order, or ask. He never once let her do what she actually wanted. But, then what was she expecting! She was mated to an Alpha. Her freedom was the last thing he could give her.....perhaps never. He led her in the direction of the entrance of the house. She could see the large number of guards deployed in the area. And, to her surprise, the ones near her greeted and regarded her as their Luna. Surely, news travels fast. She was walking in front of him giving him the perfect excuse and opportunity to watch her back. And, he didn't miss it. He noticed her physique and was quite upset about it. She was too thin....as if she was malnourished her whole life! Her clothes' dye had worn out a lot, clearly indicating that she either didn't love to dress up, or never had enough finance for it. Her shoes were of a different world! Their laces and the shoe color didn't match at all; clearly indicating that she had swapped them. And, she didn't have any handbag like most women do. She held the question paper and the pencil pouch in her hand from the exam hall. Seeing it, he instantly came to the conclusion that she had been deprived of the most basic things in her life. But, now that she was with him, he swore to take care of her and give her anything and everything her heart would desire. After all, she was the one for whom he had waited for soo long! Aadhira stopped in front of the door and turned around to look at him. "The door is open, mate. " he informed. Her eyes narrowed in confusion. Why was his house's door open? Is there someone inside! She thought as people don't generally leave their house open when they leave! Without asking anything, she pushed the double doors and entered. It was dark inside but as soon as she took a step inside, the whole house lit up brightly. Her breath hitched when she saw the interior. The house looked like a palace from the outside but from inside? There were no words that could describe its beauty! Her eyes traveled to the marvelous spacious living room with sparkling white lights glimmering from above. Two spiral staircases were at each side leading upstairs. The upstairs was decorated with big paintings that were visible from where she stood. Her eyes then dripped down to the living room again. The corners were lined up with potted plants that grew under shade and required indirect sunlight because of their delicate nature. But, their fragrance was the quality that made them soo demanding and expensive. The center had a circular dip where sofas and chairs were placed in the obvious circular fashion. An oval glass table was placed at the center of the design. Two statues of doves were placed at each side of the circular dip. They were white in color too and were doing nothing but increasing the beauty of the room many folds. The left-most corner had a door meaning there was a room there. And the rightmost had another glass door which leads to the garden...it seemed to her. There was a total of seven large french windows that were closed right now and had curtains pulled down. The field green color of the curtains matched perfectly with the white painted walls. Everything seemed soo perfect and beautiful that she wondered who was the architect who built this! "Isn't it beautiful, mate?" Arnav's voice came from behind her and she got startled when she felt his breath on her exposed neck, meaning he was right behind her. She dared not turn her head to look at him. She knew that he must be in her personal space right now. "Yes. It is." She replied, knowing that she had to reply to him or else he would do something like what he did in the car. "Just like you!" He complimented and placed his arm around her waist. "Come, I'll show you in detail." He said and gently started pulling her with him. She followed him without protest. . . . "...and, this is our room. I made this just for us. You can keep your stuff in there and clothes in the closet over there. If you want to make any changes, you are free to do it. Okay? " he finished the little tour of the house and finally settled to have some rest. "Come. You must be tired! " he said and walked towards the bed. Aadhira hesitated to follow but walked closer to him when he turned around to look at her. Arnav sat on the bed and patted the place next to him. She got the signal and with a deep breath, sat on it. As soon as she sat, she felt as if the bed wasn't even there! As if she was sitting on a fluffy teddy bear. It was soo soft and comfy! The white sheets were too furry that anyone sitting on it would want to just sleep. She had never had the experience of such luxury. Sleeping on a hard cot all her life, she never even prayed for such things. Yes, she did want to get such luxury, but that was on her terms...her hard work. Arnav cornered a strand of hair behind her ear and caressed her cheek lovingly via his knuckles. All the while he touched and felt her, she simply sat looking at his lap as she was facing him. All of a sudden, she felt him dip and before she could actually act, her lips were claimed by him. And, she couldn't stop him. The lower lip where he bit still hurt when he applied pressure, but this time he didn't put much pressure and kissed her very gently.....as if he was touching a delicate flower. When he stopped, he continued to look at her, but she had already closed her eyes. He leaned his head on hers and closed his eyes as well.....savoring the moment. "Mate?" He called after a minute of silence. She opened her eyes. "Since I brought you with me, you haven't once talked about your parents! You didn't ask me to let you talk to them or raised any interest to meet them! Why so? Don't you want to talk to your parents? " He asked with concern. The topic of parents was very sensitive to her. It brought sad memories back to life. The scenario of seeing her parents brutally murdered at the tender age of ten was enough to break her heart again and again. "I don't have parents." She murmured. "What?" He asked gently as he maintained some space between them. "They were murdered when I was a kid." She answered. "By?" He asked, his voice got tenser as he partially got the idea of who could it be. She raised her brow in surprise. Was it even a question! "Werewolves." She replied, hatred clear in her voice. "Were they against our rule?" He asked. She took a deep breath and replied. "I don't know. I was just a kid. All I know and remember is that they were killed mercilessly. I wasn't even allowed to attend their cremation. " she said as her mind relived the memory. And, to console her, he immediately pulled her to him and hugged her dearly. "I can understand your pain." He mumbled. This mere sentence infuriated her. How could 'he' feel her pain? She lost her parents! Not the other way around. And, to the top of that, he and his people were responsible for that. Their hunger for power made her an orphan. Their desire for land and property made her live in a shack for years. Their lust for a mate had made her lose her freedom, now. And, he claims to feel her pain! Absolute lies! "No, you don't. " She answered boldly, knowing that he would get angry. But, to her surprise, he didn't retort or do anything that showed that he was offended by her response. He simply patted her back and tried to console and soothe her. But, that made her angrier. Why was he silent now, when he must reply and accept that she was correct. "Maybe. You are right. But, I assure you, that from now on, you won't be deprived of parents' love. My parents are like your parents. And, they'd be so happy to know about you. I will arrange a meeting soon. How does that sound?" He said. Aadhira had had enough. This man was impossible. He had answers for everything. So, she did the best thing. She kept quiet and just nodded to whatever he was saying.
