Ella’s POV
My body felt like a dead weight on me, numbness was the only feeling I could sense in my body.
If I had to describe my state, I would say that I was under a big boulder.
The memories were still floating in my mind.
Alpha Rambo, the cell, blood and wolfsbane.
I stood up with haste and what I saw made me reeling back to the sitting position. My knees became weak.
The room I found myself in was different from the dank dungeon where I’d been held before. It was cold, sterile, with no windows and only a single door across the far side of the room. Dim light filtered from an overhead fixture, casting long shadows on the walls. I struggled to sit up, my muscles weak but functioning. The chains were gone, but I was far from free.
This wasn’t Moon Lake territory. The scent in the air was different—no familiar markers, no sense of home. Wherever I was now, it was far from my pack.
