Ava's POV:
"Why?" I asked gruffly as I remembered that I hadn't told him about my past, that I hadn't told him about how those people had treated me, and yet he reacted that way. He shouldn't have done that, he should have at least asked me what was going on, why I hated them so much, and yet he spoke as if he already knew. I blanched at the thought, he didn't know, did he?
I stared at him as the color seemed to drain from my features, and his arms around me suddenly tightened as if he was afraid I'd run away. I hated to admit it to myself, but the thought had crossed my mind, I knew I didn't deserve him, but the thought of leaving him was just too much for me. I knew it would hurt my wolf immensely if I ran away, not to mention I felt way too much for him to just take me and leave me.
"I don't know what..." he started to stutter, but I interrupted him, not trying to break free of his grip, but not relaxing either.
"Don't lie to me," I snarled, "so tell me, why do you hate her so much?
