Easton rubbed his temples in frustration before pulling out a check and tossing it at her carelessly.
"Don't bother me."
Keke clutched the check tightly. Her fingertips pinched the paper. Was he trying to get rid of her with a single check?
She forced down her emotions and muttered pitifully, "Since you don't want to see me, I'll come back another day."
Only after Keke's footsteps gradually faded did Easton unlock his phone. He instructed Josh to investigate the fire that had broken out in the greenhouse.
Keke hesitated with every step as she left the hospital, but once she was outside, she pulled out the check from her bag.
It was a blank check—Easton was letting her fill it in herself.
Her eyes darkened with malice as she turned to glare at the hospital building behind her.
He had ruined her life, and yet he still thought he could have it easy? Not a chance.
She made her way straight to Easton's company, looking up at the towering skyscraper before striding inside.
