Seeing that Martha was suspicious, Serena quickly seized the opportunity to change the subject.
"Harrison, I bought you a scarf, but I'm unsure if you'll like it."
As soon as she said this, Martha's attention was immediately drawn to the topic. She smiled and added, "Serena spent quite a while choosing the scarf at the boutique."
Serena stood up and pulled a delicate box from the pile of gifts on the table. She opened the box, holding the silver-gray paisley-patterned scarf and offering it to Harrison.
His gaze fell on the scarf, and a glimmer of surprise crossed his eyes.
Seeing no immediate response from him, Serena felt uneasy. She nervously bit her lip and asked, "You don't like it?"
