Bringing to mind the remembrance of the kiss, which was, in reality, the only reason I wanted the workshop to happen in the first place, I found myself fidgeting like a teenager about to see his girlfriend for the first time or, more accurately, to have his first kiss. However, while I would have preferred to see Charlotte, I had been held up over the past couple of days. So much so that I feared it would spill over into the day of the workshop itself. In fact, speaking of calls that have the ability to hold people up, I was currently receiving one from my other phone.
I glanced down at the screen and saw that it was Mike, one of my business partners. A feeling of dread settled in my gut as I swiped to answer the call.
“Mike,” I greeted, leaning back in my chair. “What’s up?”
