Tucker passed an A4 sheet to Emma. "Take a look at this." Emma took it, listening as Tucker added, "A TV series wants me as their music director. Here are some lyrics; try setting them to music."
Glancing down, Emma saw a few lines without context, leaving her uncertain of the intended emotion. "Which series is it?"
"It's still in post-production; I haven't seen the footage yet. But it's adapted from a novel; you might want to check out the book if you have time."
Emma nodded. "Sure."
Stepping out of Tucker's studio, Emma looked up at the sky.
Valtara was deep into winter, the cold wind cutting her face like a knife. The weather forecast had predicted heavy snow tonight, and it seemed to be on the verge of starting.
Emma quickened her pace toward the subway station, planning to catch the train back to campus. But she had barely taken a few steps when she heard Cassie's voice.
