THREE WEEKS LATER. Vida was a shell of herself. The Post-Pregnancy depression, the pain and grief from losing her baby, everything had become too heavy for her to bear. She managed to shut everyone out including Collins. She barely ate and when she did, it was little morsels of food. She couldn't bring herself to live normally, not after knowing that she'd failed at saving her child's life. Yes Collins had told her what he'd done but if she had just asked questions about the supplements the woman she thought was her mother was feeding her, then maybe she wouldn't be in this agony. Collins couldn't do anything but watch Vida slowly slip into grief.
