Chapter 22: Half And Half
Mia's POV
It wasn't more than fifteen minutes before Serin had arrived at Sol's house. He was without a car or any other physical means of transport, so it was obvious he had run here.
I watched as he walked to Francis from the side of the gate. His presence spoke about something dangerous, and even Sol shifted on his feet when he saw Serin.
I wondered for a moment if it was a good idea to have called the other vampire, not knowing how he may act in stressful situations. But the relief of having somehow at Sol's side quickly overcame any doubt I had in calling Serin.
I left the window for a moment to fetch my phone and sent a chain of quick messages to Kaya asking if she was alright and where she was. When I didn't get her reply, I left my phone on the kitchen counter and walked back to the window.
"And I think it might be time for you to leave." I heard Serin's voice. He was now on the other side of the gate at Sol's side, and they were both facing an enraged-looking Franci
