"Sierra, your father has started to change." Vera spoke softly, though there was a noticeable lack of conviction in her voice.
Sierra offered a faint smile, but her eyes were cold and distant.
"The only reason he's changed is because there's still something he can use me for. If it weren't for the Gray family, he wouldn't even glance at me."
Vera's heart sank at those words, a deep sadness settling inside her. She gently took Sierra's hand, feeling how cold it was—almost unsettlingly so.

Sierra shook her head. "Mom, you haven't done anything wrong. You don't need to apologize. But I still want to remind you—if Xavier keeps going down this path, he'll ruin himself."
Vera paused, her expression slightly stunned. She then said, "Xavier has indeed been rebellious. I will educate him properly from now on."
