Chapter 52
"I don't care about the superficial things anymore. I only care about you. I'm scared someone's really going to take you from me this time," Charlotte said stubbornly.
Jasper gazed at her. His eyes were calm and unwavering on the surface, but deep down, there was a storm brewing.
For the first time, he hesitated when it came to Charlotte. Nevertheless, his logic quickly snapped back into place, and he said, "If you marry me, there's no turning back."
"I'm willing. I'd do anything for you, things no one else can do. Not even your 'little sunshine.'" Charlotte wiped away her tears and looked him in the eye.
She knew she was fooling herself. Jasper would never ask his "little sunshine" to go through what she was willing to endure.
But Charlotte could do anything for him. She was the only one who deserved to stand by his side for the rest of his life.
Jasper finally said, "Then let's pick a date for the wedding."
Charlotte's face lit up, and she threw herself into his arms happily.
