Aurora was distant and cold as ice. A woman like that was hard for men to accept, let alone cherish. No man wanted a partner who was icy, domineering, and perpetually stern-faced.
There was no warmth to speak of. After marriage, she wouldn't bend to anyone's will, much less fit the mold of the nurturing, supportive wife. The idea of her being the kind of woman who'd raise kids or show respect to her in-laws? There wasn't a chance of that happening.
So, Sidney's decision was spot-on. Aurora was definitely not the right match for him. Whitney was the one.
To cheer Whitney up, Sidney spent quite a while comforting her, even promising to take her to an important auction the following evening. That finally brought a smile to her face.
To restore her pride, Sidney went all out. He treated the entire cast and crew to an upscale afternoon tea and then capped it off with a lavish dinner at a five-star restaurant. The grand gestures worked—people were in much better spirits.
