Even though Silas and I were divorced, we still shared a lot of the same friends. So, there were definitely some social events where running into each other was bound to happen.
A week after I showed Whitney the footage, Emmanuel and I went to a small get-together with some friends. That was when we bumped into Whitney and Silas.
The second Whitney saw me, her smile froze. She immediately tightened her grip on Silas' arm.
I couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic. In the early years after Silas and I got married, whenever I ran into Whitney, I'd get just as flustered and on edge as she looked right then.
