Chapter 34
Wren held his phone, his expression dark as a storm cloud. He lashed out when he heard the last sentence from Carlisle, kicking the nearby table. A vase on top of it crashed to the floor with a loud smash, scattering shards everywhere.
A bitter smirk played on his lips as he growled, "What is she? A spoiled brat? Does she not have legs to get herself there?"
"Wren!" Carlisle's voice on the other end of the call shot up, sharp with shock and disbelief. "How can you talk like—"
Wren didn't let him finish. He had zero patience left. He ended the call with a swipe and bolted out of the house without looking back.
Behind him, James watched his retreating figure and let out a heavy sigh. Turning to the housekeepers, he started giving orders.
"Clean this up. And listen. What just happened stays in this house. If I catch anyone running their mouths about it, there will be consequences." His steely gaze swept over the group, leaving no room for argument.
