"I didn't bully her. You should ask her what she did!" Katrina said coldly. Carlisle felt a twinge of discomfort as he saw Katrina's mocking expression. Before he could speak, Shirley hid behind him, feigning fear of Katrina. "I was just trying to advise Katrina, telling her not to be angry with you, Carlisle. But then, she…" Shirley sobbed. "Don't blame Katrina, Carlisle," she continued, putting on an innocent face. "She's just upset about Ivy and Wren's engagement. She's only acting this way because she cares about Clara. If she can't accept us, I'll have no choice but to leave with Ivy. I don't want to cause any trouble for you." As she spoke, Shirley began heading up the stairs to pack her things. Carlisle had already been feeling uneasy about Katrina's change. When he saw Shirley upset and ready to leave, he immediately grew anxious and quickly reached out to stop her. "Shirley, this is your home, too. You don't need to go anywhere!" Carlisle said, stepping in front of her.
