CHAPTER NINETY SIX – THE VERDICT
Aiden opened his mouth as if to protest, but the words seemed to die on his lips as a sleek black sedan pulled up to the curb, its tinted windows reflecting the flashing lights of the squad cars like a thousand glittering diamonds. The rear door opened, and a figure emerged, clad in a rumpled suit that seemed at odds with the opulence of the surroundings.
It was Psycho, his salt-and-pepper hair tousled and his expression one of smug satisfaction as he sauntered towards them, his hands buried deep in the pockets of his trousers.
"Well, well," he drawled, his voice a low, gravelly rasp. "Looks like the party's in full swing, eh?"
