CHAPTER THIRTY TWO – THE STALKER’S VENDETTA
As the clock ticked closer to midnight, they donned dark clothing, adrenaline coursing through their veins. Ethan, his face grim with worry, slipped a small flashlight and a pocketknife into his pocket.
"Be careful," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I'll be right behind you."
Madison nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Find Kyle," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "Both of you."
With a silent prayer, they crept out of the penthouse, heading towards the ominous shadow of the abandoned warehouse on Elm Street.
The deserted street was bathed in an eerie moonlight, casting long, skeletal shadows that danced in the cool night breeze. The warehouse loomed ahead, a decaying mass of rusted metal and shattered windows. Its silence was ominous, broken only by the occasional creak of the wind whistling through broken boards.
