He reached out, cupping her face gently. "I know you're strong, amore. That's one of the things I love about you. But we're dealing with people who play by different rules. We need to be careful." Just then, Eloise swept into the room, already impeccably dressed for the day. "Good morning, you two. Any developments?" Alessandro quickly filled his mother in on the lack of progress. Eloise listened intently, her eyes narrowing as she considered the information. "We may need to bring in outside help," she mused. "I have a contact in private security who specializes in financial investigations. Perhaps it's time to give her a call." Amelia perked up at this. "That sounds like a good idea. The more eyes we have on this, the better chance we have of figuring it out." Alessandro nodded in agreement. "Make the call, Mother. In the meantime, I think we should keep this situation as quiet as possible. The last thing we need is for rumors to start spreading." As Eloise left to make her phon
