Chapter Twenty-Seven - The Hidden Agenda

"Amelia," Sophia whispered. "I think you need to see this." She held out a crumpled piece of paper. Amelia took it, her hands shaking slightly as she unfolded it. It was a note, written in an elegant hand: "My dearest Alessandro, Our reunion has reminded me of all we once shared, and all we could be again. Meet me in the rose garden at midnight.
