Despite the paramedic's assurances that they knew the fastest route, Eloise continued to "assist" with navigation, much to Amelia's mixture of amusement and embarrassment.
At the hospital, Amelia was whisked away for tests, leaving her family to wait anxiously in the private waiting room Eloise had somehow secured. Alessandro paced back and forth, running his hands through his hair in a nervous gesture.
"She'll be fine, fratello," Isabella said softly, placing a comforting hand on his arm. "Amelia is strong."
Alessandro nodded, trying to take comfort in his sister's words. "I know. It's just... we've wanted this for so long. The thought of anything going wrong..."
"Don't even think it," Eloise interjected firmly. "Positive thoughts only. This bambino is a fighter, just like its parents."
