Suddenly, someone standing behind me handed me a glass of milk. I shook my head and said, "No thanks, I don't feel well."
After a while, a warm towel was passed to me. I sighed in resignation and casually laid it across my forehead.
The warmth of the towel soothed my tense nerves, and I finally let out a deep breath.
"Thank you, Chloe," I said, feeling grateful. "If you weren't here with me, I would've fallen apart a long time ago. I swear, you'll always be my closest family."
The emotions were bubbling up from within me as I exclaimed, "Oh, God! How could I have been so blind to fall for him?"
"Do you think losing my memory was an act of fate?" I murmured.
"Perhaps it's God giving you a fresh start," a cool voice replied from behind.
I jerked back in alarm and somehow twisted my neck.
I removed the towel with shaky hands and turned to look at Tristan behind me, trying to ignore the building pain in my neck.
