Chapter 57
I forced a smile and thanked the restaurant manager.
Tristan slid the menu toward me. "Here, have a look. See if there's anything you like."
I glanced at the menu and noticed that it was in Fraunch.
"I can't read Fraunch," I explained awkwardly.
"There's an Inglis menu available," Tristan replied.
A brief moment later, the restaurant manager returned with an Inglis menu and handed it to me.
I flipped through the menu but still struggled to make out some of the dishes.
Noticing the frown on my face, Tristan asked, "Are you alright?"
"I can only remember basic Inglis vocabulary from high school."
I let out a sigh. My memory loss had stripped away seven years of knowledge, including everything I learned in university. I felt more clueless and out of touch than ever before.
Tristan nodded understandingly. "I should have thought of that…"
Just then, a couple entered the restaurant and walked hand-in-hand in our direction.
