Chapter 30
As soon as I finished speaking, my head began to spin once more. My vision blurred, and I could feel my intracranial pressure rising.
I grabbed Chloe and whispered, "Get her out of here. I don't want to see her."
My body trembled as I spoke.
It seems that my body's first reaction was anger. It was disheartening to realize that I couldn't simply ignore her. I was furious and seething with rage, and I even felt like I was on the brink of losing control.
I wasn't sure if it was the resurfacing of lost memories or just the lingering effects of the concussion. But it was clear that my body was rejecting this. Whenever Jameson or Xandra were involved, I always seem to experience a deep-rooted and almost pathological discomfort.
Chloe seemed to sense that something was off. Turning to Xandra, she snapped, "Xandra, Wyn has nothing to say to you. Whether you're here to apologize or just to show off, we don't care anymore.
