Jameson: "If you don't come back, then there's nothing left to discuss!"
I stared at my phone, reading his messages. The constant buzzing slowly drained my patience. Finally, I blocked him.
When he realized I had blocked him on WhatApp, he switched to calling, so I blocked his number too.
It felt like a weight had finally lifted. I should have done this ages ago. After all, I wasn't the type to be pushed around.
Why didn't I slap Jameson right then and there, when he and his precious first love were so rude to me? I kept regretting that I hadn't just lost it and fought back sooner.
The door opened, and Tristan stepped in, bathed in soft light.
I quickly hid my phone and gave him a warm smile. "Tristan, I'm feeling much better."
He stepped closer, examining my face and nodding approvingly. "You do look better. But you still need to see Dr. Johnson this afternoon for a full checkup."
I nodded obediently. Even though I disliked checkups, I knew he only wanted the best for me.
