Chapter 9 Vomit

Kieran had arrived at the worst possible moment. Emery hadn't yet had the chance to question Eric about his connection to the Carters when a car from the Carter Enterprises pulled up. Kieran's face darkened immediately. His gaze swept over Eric as he said coldly, "Look at what you've done." Eric averted his eyes and clutched his phone to his chest. He forced an awkward smile and replied, "The police called, so I couldn't pick up." Emery stood off to the side and watched the both of them carefully.
