Chapter 35 Conditions
In the empty villa, Emery collapsed to the floor, kneeling in despair. Suddenly, Kieran's words echoed in her mind.
"Emery, do you have no self-respect? Are you willing to live a life controlled by others, like some accessory?"
Emery had refused to eat or drink in protest, but her defiance didn't faze Logan.
"Emery, be sensible. Think of the child in everything you do."
