Chapter 26 Clear-headed

Even though Logan was clearly displeased with Kieran for speaking up, Emery was able to leave the Carter residence without any further trouble. She didn't understand why everyone was hiding the news of Sarah's accident, or why they wouldn't let her go to the hospital. She was deeply unsettled.
