Chapter 127 On Purpose
Anna watched in aggravation. When she saw that Curtis had left, she refused Cedric’s support and instead turned to me. “Julia Moore, you did that on purpose.”
I said, “Sorry, but it wasn’t on purpose.” I pulled her earlier by reflex.
Cedric sent Anna away. When Curtis came out of the office, he held a first-aid kit in hand and crouched beside me.
He looked at me and said, “Give me your hand!”
I pursed my lips and stretched out my hand. Earlier, I landed on my palm and only felt a fiery pain. I did not notice when it started to bleed.
When Curtis pulled it over, it looked slightly mangled. His frown deepened a little. “Bear with it. It’ll sting a bit!”
I nodded and bit my lips.
The epidermis was scraped, revealing the tender flesh inside. He used a cotton swab stained with disinfectant to clean it up. As he did so, I retracted my hand back in pain, but he held it down. “It’ll be fine in a while.”
I frowned. “Just clean it up quickly.” If it was handled too carefully, it hurt.
