Chapter 53 Should the Truth Be Told?
Now that the contract was signed, even revealing the truth to the second young master wouldn’t matter much.
Besides, Catherine had other options. The second young master was determined to have her, and he wouldn’t care about such a small matter.
As for Joseph, she didn’t need to worry about him anymore. All she had to do was wait for the right moment.
Of course, behind all of this was actually a deal between Catherine and her manager.
Unexpectedly, Johnson waved his hand dismissively.
"Don’t worry, Maria. This situation is quite simple. She has good character; she wouldn’t bring up any other issues, and now that the contract is signed, so..."
Catherine spoke to Johnson.
"Maybe if I’m sincere, they won’t say anything bad about me or cancel the contract..."
The manager let out a cold laugh.
"Are you crazy? That’s way too naïve! If they find out the truth, the first thing they’ll do is get rid of you. Do you really think they’d tolerate your betrayal? You’re thinking too much."
