Chapter 133 His Train of Thought Is So Strange
Before Whitney could process her confusion, Noel's voice came through again.
"You almost got kicked off this project. Doesn't that strike you as odd? If you didn't have that second backup today, I wouldn't have kept you."
"Mr. Howard, you're fair and impartial. I understand that. I never expected you to help me with anything," Whitney replied calmly.
Thinking of her own suspicions, she added, "I suspect it's Amy. She might have tampered with my laptop after we arrived at Seabourke Architectural Institute."
There was a small click on the other end of the line. It sounded like a lighter.
Noel responded with a raised tone, sounding almost surprised, "Why?"
Amy was her boss, and Whitney had only been at the company for a few days. Could she really be targeted and framed?
Whitney couldn't think of another plausible reason and said helplessly, "She likes you and sees me as a rival."
"Why?" he asked again.
"What do you mean why?"
Noel clarified, "Why would she see you as a rival?"
