Andrew rarely felt uneasy, but his mind was in chaos now. It made it impossible for him to keep up his usual facade.
He took the bags from Melina with a stern face.
Melina quickly said, "Mister, I'm strong enough to carry them."
"Shut up."
Melina fell silent. She watched Andrew quietly as he carried the bags. He usually looked so high and mighty, but now he had a touch of humanity to him.
When the two returned to Oakread, Wallace had already arrived. Melina's face lit up, and she ran to him with a big smile.
"Mr. Wentworth Senior, you're early! We bought lots of groceries. I'll make you something delicious later."
"Lina, you went shopping with Andrew?"
"Yes!" Melina replied enthusiastically.
Wallace's face softened with a smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners. Ever since Lina had come into their lives, he had seen so many "firsts" from his grandson.
