Once Melina finished her writing speech, she noticed Shayla in the room.
Melina put away her notebook and asked in confusion, "Shayla, I thought you had a class tonight. Why did you suddenly come back?"
Startled, Shayla stammered, "I-I'm not feeling well, so I came back to rest."
Shayla usually spoke softly to Melina, so Melina didn't find anything unusual and just assumed that Shayla was sleepy.
"What's wrong? Do you want to go to the infirmary?" Melina asked with concern.
"No, no. I just got my period. I just need to rest a bit."
"Alright then. Rest early. They're not back yet. You can pull your curtains so that you won't be disturbed.
"Okay."
With the curtains pulled, Shayla sighed in relief. She was glad Melina didn't see her. Touching her face, she winced in pain before curling up to sleep.
