Zayn deliberately made his signature different from his usual ones, assuming it might reduce the legal validity of this agreement.
"Well, at last!"
He had just finished signing when William quickly kept the divorce agreement in his briefcase, as if afraid the couple would regret it and shred the papers. If that happened, his efforts would've been in vain.
Zayn shot him another harsh glare before turning to Josephine. "I've done what you asked. Now, can you drop the case?"
She looked at William, who nodded at her, and drew a tiny breath. With a stiff expression, she said before the officer, "I'm sorry, I don't want to appeal anymore. I want to go for mediation."
The officer had been watching the entire process, so he naturally knew what had happened. He looked at Josephine with sympathy. "Sure, we can do that, but you must think this through. Once you agree to mediation, reopening the case won't be so easy."
