'Are you sure? Because it looks like it's going to rain?" I tell Kyle through the phone 'Trust me. We'' have fun there like old times, me, Abby and you" 'Who's party is it anyway?" I ask picking clothes to wear 'One of my teammates, his parents aren't home so, yeah" 'Fine. Will you be able to pick me up though?" 'Yeah, I'm almost there get ready" he says and hung up before I could answer Luckily for me, I don't have a hard time picking what to wear. I chose to wear a long-sleeves, short red fitted dress that hug my curves. I feel hot. Then I chuckled to myself, not long after I heard Kyle's car out. I pick my phone and checked if Sebastian called or sent me a message but nothing. I asked Grandma Melody if he was there but she says no, he left at night and didn't came back since. Maybe he went home for a while. I sighed and got outside to Kyle's car and he drove off. I was lost in a daze when he opened the car door for me. 'You were fast this time" I tease and he rolled his eyes He gave his hand for me to hold and I gave mine. 'Don't go anywhere alone alright? Stay by my side" he whispers and I nod We went inside and wen straight for the sofa, where Abby was waiting for us, with her I think boyfriend. 'You came, finally! I have been waiting for your arrival. I thought you ditched me" 'How could we? We can't let you party alone" I tell her and we all sat down. Kyle offered to get me a drink which I nod. I look around and half of the people here are at school and half are…I don't know these people. 'So, you're Kristen Miles" Abby's fling or boyfriend says 'I guess you heard a lot about me" I say turning to Abby 'Hey! I don't even know he knows you" she says and turns to him 'How do you know her?" 'Oh, I've been meaning to tell you that I'm going to transfer at your school because a friend of mine says so and he knows you" he points to me 'Me? Who's 'he"?" I was about to ask if Darius if he knows where he is but then Kyle came back with my drink 'Speaking of the Devil" suddenly Darius says We all look over where he was pointing and there he was….with Bianca 'Wow" I whisper myself 'You, okay?" Kyle asks, his face near me and I nod Darius stood up and hugged Sebastian, 'Glad you could make it" he says and Sebastian didn't answer instead he was looking at me and Kyle 'You're all cozy here" Sebastian says 'Hey Bianca" Abby says, trying not to sound rude. 'Hey guys!" She says cheerfully and sat beside Sebastian I feel disgusted with her and I just hate her even more now. I don't what the heck I am feeling. 'Need another drink? I think you need it" Kyle whispers, I smiled and shake my head 'I can handle it. Just wait for me here" I tell him 'You sure?" he asks a little bit loud and I nod 'I'm just going to get a drink." I announce I left the space that felt so small. Then I felt a presence behind me, I didn't have to turn around. I could smell him. 'You don't have the right to get mad at me" I say as I pick a drink and turn to him 'I don't" he scoffed I rolled my eyes. And tried to walk past him but he grabs my arm and dragged me to a what I think is a bathroom. 'What the hell is wrong with you?!" I shout 'With me? What the hell is wrong with you!" he says 'I waited for you to call me or even text me. I even went to grandma Melody to look for you and this is me being stupid gave you the benefit of the doubt that maybe you went to your dad's house but I was wrong obviously, you were with her the entire time!" He didn't answer and just stood there frozen. 'You know what, just stay with her. Have fun" I say and bumped his should and walked out to go to Kyle 'I was about to look for you. You were gone too long" he says 'I'm sorry I got lost" I say and he chuckled and I look over at Abby and she was already making out with Darius 'Want to get out of here?" Kyle asks just as Sebastian arrives, I nod and we both went upstairs and went out of the window to just sit and stare at the dark sky We stayed silent for a minutes, then he said 'Do you want to talk about it?" 'He makes me crazy, stupid, and just he irritates me at times" I blurted out He chuckled 'I didn't expect you to fall in love with him within a span of what, six days?" 'I don't even know what love feels like anymore" I sighed He bumps my side 'Hey, why do you feel depressed all of a sudden?" 'I don't know. Have you ever felt so happy and like just happy and then suddenly, one day it disappears and you don't even know why?" 'I know you're just afraid of being happy. There's nothing wrong with that. Not because you're happy means something will go wrong after. Without sadness, you cannot define happiness" I smiled. He's right. But I can't help but think one day, everything just disappears and no explanation is given. 'I'm happy that even though I rejected you many times, I'm still at the top of your list. One call and you'd be there. I won't wish it would last forever because I know it won't." 'Don't be silly. We'll cross the bridge when we get there. For now, let's enjoy each other's company, shall we?" he says and I nod We stayed like that for a while and when an hour passed, we decided to go down and he insisted on taking me home. 'Hey Abby!" He shouts 'I'll take her home, how about you?" 'Coming!" she shouts and leaves Darius with a peck on his lips and ran towards us. We all three went to the car, when Kyle left something inside. 'Are you okay?" Abby asks 'Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" 'Sebastian and Bianca left when you and Kyle went upstairs" she says I didn't talk. 'Say something. It scares me whenever you're silent" she says I sighed 'What do you want me to say? It's not like we're together" 'Are you still afraid that it might happen again?" she asks and I smiled 'It's happening again isn't it?" I say This time she became silent. Then Kyle arrived to take us home. They sent me home first. I open my door and went in. Then suddenly it started raining. I didn't feel scared so much, but I laughed as tears came down. I lean on the door and sat down hugging my legs. I didn't know I was this shallow. Am I really in love with him? I can't be. 'Kristen" I look up and saw Ian 'Ian" My voice breaking, he stoops down and hugs me as I cry 'Stay home tomorrow and rest. Come on. You need it" he says and I don't hesitate and nod 'I'll stay home with you" I didn't answer as he leads me to my room. Not long after I fell asleep. ------- I woke up with the sound of voices downstairs that it seems to be fighting. 'Ian? What's wrong?" I ask Then I look over the door and it's Sebastian. 'You're awake. You go and take breakfast, I already prepared some for you. Sebastian here is leaving." He says 'Ian don't be rude. Come in" I say Ian glared at Sebastian and he smirked. 'Ian, can you leave us for a minute?" I ask and he didn't say anything and he left As soon as he disappeared, Sebastian asked me immediately 'Are you not feeling well? Why didn't you go to school?" 'I just felt off that's why but I'll go this afternoon" I answer coldly He went silent and then 'I heard you and Kyle last night. I'm sorry if I kept disappearing and appearing suddenly with Bianca. But I don't like her, we just appeared together because our----" 'Parents are friends and you had to deal with that, yeah, I heard that already" I cut him off 'Besides, we're not together anyway. You don't have to explain it to me" I say and smiled 'No. I like you Kristen I really do and I want to make this work. I promise I'd put you on top of my list that you won't need Kyle. Please Kristen give me a chance" I stayed quiet for a minute and then agreed 'Okay" His eyes lit up 'Really? So we're official then?" 'No, I didn't----" then he smashed my lips into mine, I didn't say we were official but my actions proved otherwise. 'I thought I said he can leave? Why is he chewing my sister?" Ian had to disturb 'Grow up will you. Oh yeah, you don't have a girlfriend yet, you wouldn't know" I tell him and he glared at me 'You should go, I'll see you this afternoon" I tell Sebastian 'Okay. I'll wait for you at your locker and I can walk you to class" he says and I nod 'Goodbye, brother-in-law" he teases Ian, Ian scoffed and slammed the door behind Sebastian 'Just make sure you made the right decision. Come on breakfast" he says and left me standing I hope I did too.
