Andrew picked up a pebble from the ground and honed in on the place where he had seen the light before confidently tossing the pebble in its direction.
A loud crack echoed amidst the silence of the forest. Andrew was able to tell exactly what he had hit based on the sound alone.
He sped up and kicked the trunk of the tree next to him, using the momentum to leap into the air. His feather-light body hovered midair and began ascending.
Soon enough, he appeared at the very top of the tree. He peeked out and reached out to grab a black object before returning to the ground at lightning speed.
After steadying himself, he began to look closely at the object he was holding. It was a mini surveillance drone that was only the size of his palm.
