Chapter 129
Austin opened his mouth to say something, but Andrew didn't give him the chance.
In one swift move, Andrew gripped the barrel of the handgun and rammed it against Austin's throat.
Austin coughed up a mouthful of blood and collapsed, his gaze haunted and begrudged. He twitched on the ground, the last reflexes his body would allow before life seeped out of it.
Austin was dead.
Andrew had killed six grown men in under a minute, though his nonchalance and his expressionless face belied his brutal act.
He bent down and carried Doria in his arms. He took her to his car and expertly removed her bindings, chiding, "Were you out of your mind? You could have died back there."
Andrew couldn't help swallowing as the scene of Doria taking a bullet for him played through his mind.
If he hadn't reacted fast enough, and if Austin hadn't been such a terrible marksman, Doria could have sustained worse injuries or died.
