Jared realized he was now the direct cause of Austin's degradation. If Zach found out about this, Jared would be dead meat. At once, he felt his living daylights seep out of him. He shrank into himself. He knew what the consequences were for pissing off Zach. As things were, he was better off fleeing Thenswy. Jared could escape all he wanted and even go abroad, but it wouldn't matter because Zach had incriminating evidence against him. Once the evidence was revealed to the public, Jared was done for.
