Natalie smiled at him quickly and said, "Well, alright then. Thank you." Matthew smiled back in response. Natalie then led him to the kitchen and showed him the ingredients she had already prepared. She stood close by as he started cooking to chat casually, "By the way, how are things going between you and Sophie?" Matthew paused for a moment at the question before resuming his actions. "Why'd you bring her up all of a sudden?" "Oh, she just suddenly crossed my mind, so I thought I'd ask." "Nothing's going on between us." Natalie pressed further, "Do you like her?" "I wouldn't say so." "So, you don't actively dislike her, then?" Matthew turned to look at her and responded seriously, "Yeah, you can say that. But I don't think me not disliking her means I can sustain a marriage with her. After all, most of life after marriage is filled with mundane tasks like household chores. "There's no way we can endure a lifetime with each other just because I don't actively dislike her."
