Chapter 391
At Huston Villa, Natalie was about to switch off the lights and get to sleep when her phone suddenly rang.
Seeing Taylor's name pop up as the caller, Natalie swiped to answer the call.
When Taylor said sorry, Natalie knitted her brows together. "Have you been drinking?"
Taylor responded in a raspy and alluring voice, "I've had a few drinks, but I'm fine."
"If you've been drinking, you should get some rest."
"I have something to tell you."
Natalie leaned against the headboard and lowered her gaze. Her voice was calm, devoid of any emotion. "Just say what you need to say."
Taylor gently said, "Sorry for putting you through so much lately."
"What do you mean?"
"I've been bothering you and upsetting you, and that's on me. I've thought it through, and I've decided that I need to let you go. I'll stop clinging to you just for my selfish reasons."
"Are you saying this because you're drunk, or do you actually mean it?"
"I'm serious. I'll keep my word this time, and I'm sober."
