Natalie's gaze turned cold. "I don't remember."
She pulled her hand away from Taylor's face and stood up from the couch.
But before she could leave, Taylor suddenly wrapped his arms around her from behind. "That day, I actually wanted to—"
"Enough, I'm leaving," Natalie cut him off and peeled his arms away. Then, she turned back to face him with a detached expression.
"I need to head down to the restaurant near my firm to make a reservation. If I don't do it now, there might not be any tables left.
"Mr. Jones, don't forget your promise. I expect to hear from those media outlets by this afternoon."
Without another word, Natalie walked out of the office.
As she reached the elevator, the fake smile she had worn vanished entirely.
