Natalie met his gaze. "What does it mean to keep my distance from him? Should I just ignore him when we run into each other even at Jones Manor?"
"Is that so wrong?"
"Of course not. If we were divorced, that's exactly what I'd do."
A blaze of fury ignited in Taylor's eyes. "Natalie, can you go one day without bringing up divorce?"
"We were supposed to get divorced, remember?"
"That was your plan. I never considered it."
She held his gaze with a forced smile. "You never considered it? When we first got married, you constantly blamed me for Bethany leaving you. Were you just joking?"
