Chapter 168
"Can't it be for past mistakes?"
Natalie nodded. "I guess that works too."
She stepped aside to let him in.
After changing his shoes, Taylor wrapped his arm around her waist and guided her toward the living room.
He felt something stir inside him as he watched her sniff the flowers. Suddenly, he grabbed her arm and kissed her deeply, the flowers trapped between them.
Natalie let him do what he wanted.
When he pulled away, she smiled. "I'm not used to your behavior lately. It's like you're a completely different person."
Not wanting to talk about the past, he led her to the sofa and gently pushed her to sit. He met her eyes and changed the subject, "Samuel's engagement party is this Friday."
Engagement party?
Well, that was what was supposed to happen, anyway.
Natalie thought back to two years ago when she and Taylor had gotten married. George had arranged everything in a rush, and they'd gotten married without an engagement party or a wedding ceremony.
