With five seconds left, the referee's whistle sounded. 4-5 was the score; the only CU soccer team in Black King Athur.
"We won," I uttered.
As they were unable to move in their seats, the CU soccer players couldn't believe they had won. All of their fans were yelling, and the host added to the excitement by making even more noise across the soccer field. Just now it dawned on me that they had truly won, so I got out of my seat and cheered while waving the banner I was holding.
The members of the CU soccer team appear to have recovered from their shock since they were able to be delighted as a result of their triumph. They huddled together, and their opponent approached them to shake hands. Their opponent congratulates them, and the host congratulates the opposing team before leaving the field.
