CHAPTER 138: DESPERATE MEASURES
Zack paced back and forth in the Alpha's chamber. His eyes kept darting to Drakon, and he lay motionless on the bed, his breaths shallow and uneven. Dawn was approaching, and Zack couldn't shake the gnawing fear in his gut.
"Where are you, Dahlia?" he muttered, glancing at the door for what felt like the hundredth time. "You should have been back by now."
He approached Drakon, placing a hand on his Alpha's chest. The slow, unsteady rise and fall of Drakon's breaths sent a jolt of panic through him. If Drakon died, the entire pack would spiral into chaos.
Zack bolted from the room with no other choice, his mind racing. He had to find help fast.
Zack burst through the door at his house, startling his wife, Elara. She looked up from the kitchen table, her eyes widening in concern.
"Zack, what's wrong?" she asked, standing up quickly.
"It's Drakon. He's not doing well. Dahlia's not back yet, and it's almost morning. Please come with me to the Alpha house. We can't waste any time," Za
