Truth be told, the recent clash had taken a toll on Zane as well. With Edmund having fled, Zane lacked the strength for pursuit and needed rest.
Edmund, on the other hand, wouldn't be back on his feet for at least half a month.
At a nearby café, Henry, having witnessed Zane's display of strength, couldn't help but crack a smile. He turned away just in time to see a man in a black trench coat and a duckbill cap hastily making his exit.
"Go tell your boss," Henry called out coldly, "next time, be quicker and more discreet. Or you won't even know how you died. I'm letting you off this time. You might not be so lucky next time."
The man trembled, not looking back as he sped away.
Henry watched him leave with a cold smirk, then stood up to settle his bill and leave.
Back at The Whiteman Group's front, calm had returned. Beckett had already taken the injured guards and security staff to the hospital. Jasper stayed by Zane's side, ensuring his safety.
